Come, walk through the Word.
Every day adds something to the life you are building. Before considering the materials in your hands, look again at the foundation beneath them. Jesus Christ is the ground that will hold.
1 Corinthians 3:10–15
10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Stay with the movement.
Paul laid the foundation by preaching Christ in Corinth. Others would continue the work, but no faithful builder could replace that foundation with a leader, a method, or a human philosophy.
The coming day will expose the quality of every work. Public admiration cannot make straw endure, and hidden faithfulness will not be overlooked. Grace saves the builder, while grace also teaches the builder to take care.

The foundation is not merely a set of principles. It is Jesus Christ Himself—His person, His cross, His resurrection, and His lordship.
The materials picture differences in lasting quality. Paul is asking whether ministry built on Christ is worthy of Christ.
Final evaluation belongs to God. This frees believers from both the intoxication of praise and the despair of being overlooked.
