Come, walk through the Word.
A little leaven works quietly through the whole lump. So do the habits we excuse. Come into the light without despair: Christ our Passover has already been sacrificed, and His grace opens a truthful new beginning.
1 Corinthians 5:6–8
6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Stay with the movement.
Leaven spreads invisibly until the whole dough is affected. Paul uses the Passover practice of removing old leaven to show why the church cannot treat destructive sin as isolated or harmless.
The command rests on a gift already given: 'Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.' They are called to become what grace has made them. Sincerity and truth are not a way to purchase redemption; they are the fitting feast of people delivered by Christ.

At Passover, Israel remembered deliverance from bondage and removed leaven from the home. Paul sees Christ's sacrifice as the decisive deliverance that forms a new people.
Hidden compromises rarely remain contained. What a community celebrates, excuses, or refuses to face gradually shapes its shared life.
Christian holiness is not image management. It is life brought into the light—undivided, honest, and aligned with the truth of the gospel.

Christ our Passover, thank You for giving Yourself for us. Search out what I have excused, cleanse what has spread in hidden places, and form in me the sincerity and truth that belong to Your new creation. Amen.
